Default What other tire can i run other then 165/80's on 15x4's?

???????? I know everyone runs 165/80r15's but they are only 25.6" x 6.5". I have 26x7.5 sportsman and they look good. What other size it out that i can run to being as close to what i have now. I want a normal street tire.

Id get the 8ply sportsmans, or 26x4.5-15 M/T ET Fronts. I wouldnt trust going fast on a standard volkswagon 165R tire. **** that. The 8ply sportsmans are safe at high speeds, and will last alot longer. I had khumo power stars before and they wore out in about a month.

Well i drove on these going 90mph for 200miles non stop and the were nice and smooth and handled good for the open road. I like the way these look and i dont want something too skinny. I would really like a 6.5" tire over a 7.5" wide it but i need to see whats out. It has to be something i can ride on everyday rain or shine! These are not that bad to me i just have been told that 2 ply are not the best thing to drive on everyday

Nothing. I havent had anytrouble runing my 2ply ones i have put 600 miles on them in 2 days and did fine in the rain. I have even taken them up to 150mph once. I can spend $230 on 2 new 8ply ones or $80 for 2 new 165/80's I have a few friends running 9's on them so i think my mid 11 sec car should be ok.

You might look into the MT S/R radials, try searching this tire: MTT-6652 It's a little wider than what you have and would probably be a little more stable on the street.

I bought a set of 165/80/15 Khumo Power Stars. Put them on, drove about 300 miles on them and they were down to cords. My 8 ply sportsman fronts are 6 years old, and look brand new.

I want to go with the sportsmans and was going to order them but I can't justify spending that much money right now on something that I hardly ever have on the car.

Eventually I will be getting some, but for now my Nexxen tires that have maybe 20 miles on them will be fine.
