My lights are really dim

My lights are really dim My lights are dim as ****..I dunno why they are so dim..I can turn the brights on and still not see ****..I have good bulbs so its not that. Should i just say F it and get HID's? Or could it be a problem with wiring or something like that?

Alternator could be going and the battery isn't getting fully charged. Hook up some jumper cables at night and see if the lights get brighter like normal. If they do its the alternator.
