Default '99 LS1 stock rocker arm failure... a few questions

Hello everyone, this is my first post here, and hopefully you guys can advise me on some problems we had encountered.

'99 LS1, at the track yesterday developed a valvetrain noise, took it apart and sure enough a rocker arm had broke apart at the shaft losing all the needle bearings. This was a stock rocker.

First, and I think I already know the answer to this, should this engine be completely disassembled account of all the pieces? I did not yet drain the oil or cut apart the filter.

Second, what is everyone running as far as aftermarket rockers?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Yella Terra's are are popular brand ppl use. You don't have to take apart your engine, but change the oil and filter a couple of times, plus check the magnetic drain plug.

That would be outstanding if I didn't have to tear the engine apart completely. Given our situation, I'm leaning towards going with the Yella Terra's at this point, now do you think it is worth the extra $100 for the adjustable version?? Any pros or cons?

Thanks for the replies so far,
Steve

441 at the wheels. It sounds like most guys are using the non-adjustable versions, any reason why other than price?

Thanks,
Steve
