battery relocation question
in the process of relocating by battery. ive got eveything figured out but the grounds. ive read the other threads, but just wanna make sure im correct in this. in the rear as far as the ground goes......just ground to the body like i have my amp grounded, correct? and in the front, use the ground thats connected to the motor and attach it to the frame?
so two ground wires....one in the rear on the body, one in the front from the motor to the frame?

my trip odometer would reset everytime i started the car. it was getting a lot of voltage drop on start up. i used all the stock grouns in front and added a ground strap. then grounded it right to the frame in the back. i tried 4 diff ground/ power combos before i admitted defeat and put it back up front.

I have done both my cars and no issues. You could tell it was just a hair harder or slower to start but have done fine. Yes like he said just make sure your grounds are good and a nice 2 gauge wire to carry the current . Any smaller and you might run into problems. Make sure all connections are good and clean and all the above and you should be fine!

yeah no issues here at all. mine has been working perfect. 1/0 wire to the front, 1/0 to the frame in thew back and a couple 2 ga augmented grounds up front, in addition tot he factory ground straps and such. Just make sure you install a master cutoff if you plan on racing at any NHRA sanctioned tracks!
heres how I did mine:
