I have shitty luck with EVERYTHING. I was driving on the wheels ONE MORE DAY before I took them off the car and traded them, go to the bank to get change and make a couple deposits for work (in the middle of the ******* ghetto btw, closest bank to the titty bar) and when I get there i get out of the car and see my tire is flat. yeah one of the slicks. awesome.

so i spend the next 20 minutes on the HOT ******* ground (AZ at 2pm in the middle of a PACKED parking lot, imagine that) changing this stupid thing, trying not to spend too much time on the ground and checking over my shoulder because i'm sure someone just saw me walk out with a grip of cash...

get it home and look at the tire, what the **** happened here?

did the tire come apart like this when I was driving it? Or did me driving on it when it was flat cause this? I've never seen **** like this before.

Looks like you rubbed a hole in it brother. You can see the marks all around the tire.

other side is perfect though and it's not even that big of a tire. it's shorter than my 275/40 nittos and only a little wider.

could be though. i never thought to look for rub marks but nothing stood out to me and I was looking at how dirty it was in that wheel well for about 10 minutes shaking my head.

Even more of a reason it's rubbed a hole in it. Do you have an adj panhard rod?

If your car is lowered it changes the geometry of the suspension and if you've adjusted your panhard rod correctly the rear wheels will have the same exact gap on both sides. If you haven't, then one side will be closer than the other, causing a rub.

You have 315s, we all know that's a wide tire and people have had rubbing issues with them before, I'm willing to bet that's what happened in your case. And having been in the tire business for 3 years, I've seen it before.

I have 295s on the rear and I can see a clean spot or 2 in the inner fender where it's touched when the suspension compresses.

I personally sliced up the outside of the right rear tire like that once, I guess I immediately assumed that is what happened here.

One of my tires has a slight groove in it similar to that because my mechanic had the car in the air and wanted to hear if the rear end made any noise while in gear. The way our bump stops sit they rub wide tires when the rear is raised. Just a shot in the dark.

Wrong. When a tire is damaged from driving on it flat there wil be a "heat ring" in the middle of the sidewall. It's an indention into the tire instead of a cut.

Yes, it's called the DOT number. It's 4 digits long. The first 2 are the week and the second 2 are the year. I can only see the last 3 of yours, but for example it would be week 23 of 2003.

If anything I believe it was a leak that caused it to go flat, then I just fucked it up more driving on it while flat.

Look on the inside of the fender and if you see a spot where it's been rubbed then you know if you have a rub issue. I'm about 99.9% sure that it is a tire rub, like I said I worked in the business for 3 years.

seems the tire had a leak or was riddin low on air...not your fault with low pros...but the running low on air would burn the outside or inside of the tire...
