Default HELP! Huge nitrous issue...

Today I went to get on my nitrous, and when I do, the car sounds like it's backfiring/misfiring badly, and I experience a significant decrease in power. I'm throwing no codes, aside from O2 codes that have been going off and on since I put O2 sims in the rear banks.

The car runs otherwise fine without nitrous. What the hell is going on?

I assume this is the dry kit listed in your sig?
If so, have you dyno'd it, or had it ever worked properly?

Dry setup, 125 shot into the air lid.

98 Camaro Z28, LT headers/TD exhaust. Ran nitrous fine till today...and no, never dyno'd it, but it ran smooth on the road.

As you probably already know, dry kits are sensitive to nozzle placement and even angle. Did you happed to tighten or loosen the nozzle any?

Well, I disassembled it to clean the MAF yesterday, but I put everything back together exactly the way it was...or I hope I did.

Ah, the nozzle is probably turned a bit from where it was.

Somehow I doubt that...I've been taking it apart and putting it back together for a long time to regularly clean the MAF/change pill sizes, and I've never had an issue even remotely close to this one.

you might want to go find someone that can read you a/f ratio in real time while hitting it. I have a snap-on vantage tool that I use to read all my sensors, but I dont know what u have available to you. I am not a nitrous expert, but from my fuel injection experience it sounds like a lean misfire to me.

when my FPSS was cutting the n2o, I was having backfire at the exhaust on a wet setup(rich backfire)..I dont know about dry but get a read on your a/f or it could lead to disaster.
