z06 maff on a 98z28 a no no?

Default z06 maff on a 98z28 a no no?

well some guy said that the 98 pcm couldnt read this right is that true?

i think it might work but u need the adaptor wire and i think u have to recalibrate the maf maps from a tuner!

im getting the car dyno tuned in 2 wks, and this will go on until then, but i need to make sure before

why change it? stock maf is good for over 500+ hp

speed inc told me they are good for over 500+ whn i was lookin into changing mine...and i trust the pro's

yeah they say that but you will gain power if you switch it!
think about the fast 92 setup with a 92 tb then theres a lil 75mm maf choking it..
so comon sense that a bigger one that is tuned right will work.
well thats my theory lol

not sure but i think if you port it..it might slitly change the setting so i want to do this too but it will be right before i tune it or something

might be worth 5 rwhp but I have a 98 vette and we spent 2 days trying to tune w a 85 mm maf w no luck. Went back to the 74 and put down 440 rwhp on ported tb and a descreened maf

Dont do it. Ive had a **** ton of tuning problems with mine being ported. My car runs hella lean right now due to it, I need to pick up another one.

i have a granatelli LS6 MAF it is running **** with it, no problems knock on wood.

Stock MAF. period, leave it alone.

My old LT1 ran like absolute crap after I messed around with the MAF. On my LS1, I had a dead MAF when I was dyno tuning. They slapped a new stock one on, tuned it perfectly, and I'm making the power in the sig with the stock intake.

Speed Inc. IS correct. That was who advised me the same. I messed around with the MAF in the past, and decided not to this time. Was the smart and right choice. Just leave it alone, it's fine. Run stock MAF.

Sure it reads it. As mentioned you need a 5 pin adapter to even hook it up.
