Default what kind of gas mileage

I am thinking of buying an automatic 2001-02 Camaro Z28-SS for a daily driver and was wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys are getting. I know my LS1 vette gets good gas but it is 93 octane and the camaro is 87 octane. thank you for the help.

Same engine should get the same gas... Ever car is different but somewhere between 17-20.

My Camaro only gets 93. My heads/cam/stall D/D car gets 13 with the air on.

I did not buy it for the gas mileage. Not many people do.

I have been running 93 in my stock (with catback) 2002 SS LE M6 and have been getting nearly 20mpg in the city (usually about 18-19mpg but it seems to differ a bit). I haven't driven it much on the highway yet.

I have never put 87 in my car, but does it make that big of difference?

The old EPA ratings were not realistic, you probably could get 25 mpg on the highway in an M6 but an automatic would be worse.

I'm getting 17 mpg in town with my 2000 A4 Z28. And you shouldn't count on using 87

I cannot BELIEVE there are people out there who are even considering anything less than premium gas. The owner's manual specifically calls for the use of premium gas. PREMIUM GAS!!!!!!! These are high compression cars with computer controlled engines that are set up to run on PREMIUM GAS!!!!

PREMIUM GAS!!!!x100

PREMIUM GAS!!!!x100

PREMIUM GAS!!!!x100

Jesus, I'm sick of hearing this same s**t topic come up all of the time...

Oh, and if the cost of premium gas is a problem for anyone then there's a cute little Civic with your name on it...

I average around 18-20 during the week because of traffic but get 27-30 on long highway trips.

I love how my friends tell me that my car doesn't need premium and I'm just wasting my money. Even my friend who has a Mustang GT and is like all gas is the same. Maybe for your 4.6 V8 but my 5.7 ls1 Formula deserves the best of the best 93 octane only. These cars aren't being made anymore man and I'm gonna make mine last hopefully have another F-body some day too. Always did want a camaro
