Find out what owner "will take" (let's say for an example that it's $15k)
Go there with $13k in one pocket, and and an addl. $2000 in $500 increments and a friend who holds the addl. $2k total. Start at the $13 and keep going to the end of the driveway coming back with "a little more $ each time".
You may go up 500 at a time, or a hundred or so.
Alot better if the seller's "hot button" is let's say $14,100, then if he says my lowest is $15k and you pay it.
$15k is livable at the high end for a real nice low mileage car. (Especially a stick)Good Luck!

I will say I just paid 13900 for a 2001 TA WS6 convertible with 68000mi
no dings or dents, very few imperfections, all stock unmolested, few scrapes on the passenger side wheels, I think i can get them sanded and polished out
