Anyone see these yet. Black housing projector halo highs for the Imp/MC are available now. Might be somethin to look at for anyone who was looking into painting their headlight housings black

Hey good find man did you get them? These use the same size bulbs as stock for low beams right?

No, I believe it said they use H3 for lows and H1 for highs, bulbs included. Someone found them over at NAIOA. I didn't get them, yet. I'm debating how they would look on my car since it's red. Those would definately look wicked on a black car, just not sure about any other car. Now, word on the street is, someone here purchased them, but I'll let them come forward and reveal themselves haha.

Not sure how the light output would be. I already have HID's so I'd just get new HID bulbs to fit. I know the lights similiar to this for the 00-05 Impalas had poor light output with the standard bulbs, not sure how these compare. Regardless, they sure do look sweet.

They look nice! I'm still 50/50 on how they'd look on my car.

LOL yea. Now I'm very tempted. I'm just hesitant on how the light output might be, even with my HID's in them. I could really care less about the halo's I just want projectors.

C'mon, man....who you talking about?

I'll be sure to comment on quality & functionality when I get them. I just need to get a set of H3 HID bulbs soon. If the seller ships soon (by tomorrow), I'll have them next Wednesday. I just hope that I like them and others don't, that way I can sell my OEM black headlights for a premium

I sent him a message asking if he has more with the black housings. The only one listed now is the clear ones.

If they don't have them right now I'm sure they'll pop up sooner or later fairly frequently.

I guess you have to either splice it or get a broken/cheap one and cut off the plugs and splice it up after the plugs. Maybe new plugs or riggable ones are available from somewhere too. Haven't had my headlight off to see what it should look like. buffalo will be a good guinea pig.

No, the OEM plug is clearly there on the bottom of the housing...just like stock. The bare wires are for the halos....you need to either tap into the parking light line or run them to a switch...which is what I intend to do.

I figure I already have a winner with my existing black lights. If I don;t like these new ones I'll take a small loss and sell them myself. I know I'll find an interested party pretty quickly.

Oh yeah...aside from the general projector light output question, I have a concern about the size of the bulb they're using. I don't know if the H3 is large enough to throw enough light in halogen form. We'll see, though, and then compare it to my HID's. H3, iirc, is more commonly used for fogs.

I have the projectors for my camaro and they use an H3 bulb for the lows. The halogens did not give enough light so I opted for HIDs. You are right with H3 bulbs being commonly used for fogs.

How do they look with the HID's in them in your Camaro?

They look good. I went with 4300K for the most light output. The good thing is not blinding oncoming traffic.

Yeah, I've got a 4300k HID kit in the Imp and the output brightness & color is great. I hope I can say the same about it when it's thrown through a projector lens.

Tuesday cannot come soon enough!

EDIT: F**K! I won't even be at the office that day!! I have a housing seminar to go to so I guess I'll have to stop at work to pick it up before I head home .

Someone needs to figure out how to wire those halos the DRLs. . . .that would kick some rear.
