Drag Racing Tech - Powertrain Control Module ?

I want to know where the red wire from the alternator in a 98 LS1 camaro goes to. In the haynes maual it looks like it goes to the stock PCM.. Or the stock guage cluster. I cut that wire in the winter and now I am not getting any charging out of the alternator. SO I need someone to tell me exactly where to hook it up. Thanks. It looks like it says in the haynes manual for V8 it is VIN P on the powertrain control module.... What ever that means. i've had another guy tell me that it is in the stock guage cluster. Can some one help thanks

I figured it out, nevermind

Where did it end up going? I'm curious now.

I just tapped into a switched 12v to a 470 ohm resistor and then hooked it up to the red wire going to the alt. It started charging right away.

From the factory the 98's, that red wire goes to the dash.
