What mechanic do you go to?
I know many of you guys do your own work (I do quite a bit if my own as well), but since I just got an LS1 car and don't really know the intracacies of it and it is my DD if you do go to a mechanic in Cen. FL Orlando or Altamonte Springs area who do you like? I have been going to this place called Express Auto on 436 towards apopka, seems ok, but want to see if there are any places you guys really like.

I do almost all of my own work, for performance engine stuff like cam swap, engine builds, etc - I've been going to Redline. Dennis does rock solid work and backs it up.
I've heard good things about the guys at Real Street as well. And never had a bad dealing with Mike Norris.
For alignment stuff, I use Doug's alignment on 3rd St in Sanford. For exhaust, I use Mr. Muffler on 17-92 in Sanford.
Other that that, any other task or general maintenece is pretty basic on these cars.

nascarnut08 gives me a hand at his shop with stuff that I dont have the equipment for like AC work, changing Trannies, killing obscene amounts of beer, etc. He is very upfront and honest and if he lived closer I would send you to him.

sounds good, where is Next Level? Are any of these places near Altamonte Springs? I may start using that alignment shop mentioned. I've been using a generic firestone place, and last time they stripped and broke several wheel studs on my toyota, and blamed it on the car. I changed the tires all the time along with other stuff and I never stripped them, I know they were just going hardcore with the air tools.

I've gone to Next Level and Mike Norris both are good shops. Geoff at Next Level has gone out of his way to help me in the past. Rev Extreme is a good shop also but is in Bradenton. For alignments and wheel/tire stuff Robert at Tredalign/Wingfoot Goodyear is great on N. John Young Pky. Exhaust/Muffler in Orlando ,Jeff at Performance Muffler Man on E Hwy50.

Mike Norris would be my selection after 5 years of dealing with him. Mike would go out of business, financially, just to right a wrong ... unlike another shop I dealt with who didn't have the decency to step up and make things right when their faulty installation directly cost me $2,700 out-of-pocket.

Depends on what you want, if you're looking for regular Maintenance then all of the forementioned are very good and theres no need to go out of your way. Ive heard nothing but good things about Revextreme.
But if you're looking for mods or a project then it wouldnt even be a choice, EFI Alchemy all the way. Rick is one of the best project cordinators in the business, Mark is the best installer, and Doc is THE best LS1 tuner in the Southeast. Period. Also one of the most stand up people in the business, he will go out of his way to learn all about your car pre-project, give it the best possible tune after the install, and will back up his work in both Fixing any mistakes (Which I am yet to hear of one) and following your ride's progress and the results. When he says each car is not just work to be done its a project for an actual person that he pours his best effort into and actually cares about the results, its not a sales pitch, its the truth.
I know its a long drive but even if I moved to new york or even Cali I would either ship the car or Make the drive out there to get any more work done without hesitation. The results are that good.
