Default Monsoon help! Already did a search and read stickys.

I'm trying to figure out if I can use my ipod with my Monsoon. I've searched and found with a Monsoon single CD player and no changer one of the AUX attachments will work if I have a late '99 or newer. My Z28 is a 2000. I took the stereo out this evening and the stamp on top says it was made August 25 of 1999 so I am still wondering if it will work since production dates don't always correspond with capabilities (thanks WhiteBird 00). So I did some more digging and found that IF I have a stamp on my circuit board E-8276A-1 or -2 it will work as long as the "A" is there (thanks Dave 96TA). So I took the bottom off the Monsoon and found no stamp. I'm guessing I have to take the top panel off which does not appear as easy as the bottom one was. Before I start prying and breaking things, how exactly do I take this panel off? Does anybody know for sure that a Monsoon produced in Aug '99 work with the PIE GM9-AUX, PIE-GM12-AUXv2, or the isimple? Thanks.

Thanks 00'WS6Rocket. I think the AUXv2 is newer since I have rarely seen it mentioned when I searched. The website says it works with 2000-06 CD changer Ready (CD/AUX button) Radios listed in pull-down menu only. I have the CD/AUX button but mine is not listed in the pulldown menu (but none as old as mine are).

Bought and installed the USA Spec PA11-GM-45 and everything works. $169 at the local audio shop though. Ouch. Could have bought a new head unit for that. He did say I have 10 days to return if I want to upgrade and recommended an Alpine for $349 that he said works well with the Ipod. But then I would want new speakers and then the and thens would keep on going and going...
