Default Cluster Dimmer Fuse...

For some reason the fuse for the gauge cluster dimmer switch keeps blowing. I've put three 5A fuses (checked and double checked its only a 5A socket) and even a 10A fuse because it was the lowest one I had while on the highway at night... and it blew that one too. I already need a new BCM I'm pretty sure, could this just be a related problem?
