how exactly do u wash ur car???
I'll start first...
I have a black 00 SS...as u all know, black is a pain in the ***...with my stock rims I use to wash the car in one shot, but now since I have new 18" chrome Z0's, my wayz have changed...
I tried this today and it works pretty well...
1.)wash the rear tires
2.)wash rear chrome wheels with meguiars soap with a dish sponge (best IMO cuz I can get to tight spots)...wash the inside dish (most of u don't care, but I do!!!)
3.)after fully washing the wheels, keep them nice and wet, rinse back half of car...from front of the doors to the rear...I use soap followed by a nice rinse, again keeping wheels wet to avoid spots...
4.)use a seperate absorber for the wheel dish
5.)use a seperate absorber for the outer wheel
6.)use a seperate absorber for the paint
7.)repeat steps 1-6 for the front of the car and wheels...
sorry my steps are sooo long...I'm just a perfectionist and owning a black car, u have to act like a fuc$in chemist when it comes to taking care of ur baby...

Re: how exactly do u wash ur car???
I used to take way longer, but now I wash my car in less than ten minutes.
I start out with the rims, I use a seperate sponge for them and for the wheelwells. Then I get out the washmitt and soap down the exterior. I usually do 1/3rd of the car, then rinse, then another 1/3rd, then rinse, and so on.
When I'm done, I just drive the car about 5min, and wipe off what's left.
Voila! Clean car.

Re: how exactly do u wash ur car???
I always start with the rims, I spray them down real good with the eagle one A to Z cleaner, then use a brush.....then I will water down the entire car....then make up a batch of zaino car wash and start washing the car top to bottom with my cotton mit...
Then I dry the car off with the absorber, and get the rest of the water w/cotton towels...then I will use a different towel to dry off the rims...
After the car is dry I will apply the first coat of zaino, while that is setting I will start polishing the rims or just dressing the tires...after that, another coat of zaino...
This is why my car always has that deep gloss look, there is well over 100 coats of zaino on it...

I have a system down that works for me.I spray wax my car every other day,i use the same diaper on the chrome wheels.
I then wipe the tires down with meguires and do the glass with an aerosol glass cleaner.
It takes about 15 minutes to do and my car always looks like it came straight out of the detail shop.

I take it to a car wash, pay some $$, wait, and 10 minutes later drive away with a clean car. I'll zaino it once every few months.

I don't wash my car often enough.
What I need to do when it cools off a bit is:
(1) Wash the car with Dawn to remove all fo the wax.
(2) Dry thecar as well as possible to keep water spots down.
(3) Clay bar entire car.
(4) Use Meguire's Scratch X polish.
(5) Use a high gloss wax (Probably paste).
That should take approximately all damn day!

Re: how exactly do u wash ur car???
Ahhh... I remember having a black car...
Since then I have switched to a silver car and man is it easy to wash. I don't even have to wipe all of the water off anymore.
All I do is wash the car down, then go back to do the wheels with a dish sponge. Dry off the flat areas of the car w/ a water blade... and I usually Zaino about once a month...

Re: how exactly do u wash ur car???
my black car's always covered when parked.
i just rinse the entire car with water from top to bottom...and wipe off any road grime with a towel (yup, no soap) then dry with 100 percent cotton towels.
the rims i wipe with a separate cloth last then the dual tips. then i wipe the tires and add dressing.
