Looks like it probably burned to the ground before any firetruck got there

If I had to guess I would also say fake. The 1st pic looks most suspicious.

Photoshopping smoke isn't too hard.

could have also been a faulty alternator. I almost lost my Caprice to the same thing. It started overcharging and set the cable on fire.

If that is a chop its a damn good one. The first pic even has the grass burning and a very convincing shadow of the smoke on the ground. I highly highly doubt its fake.

Any updates on why it burned? The hood is unlatched so Im sure the owner was checking it out the engine before it went up in flames.

It's not a chop...it is not fake. A photographer located in Madison Florida took this and it was posted yesterday on the photography site I'm on. Not sure how you can even think it's a fake.

It looks fake. Why, in the second picture, was the grass burning so high, and hasn't spread forward at all? that's not how fire spreads... and the bumper is still attached, so that's not what it is.

That really isn't that hard of a photoshop.

Second... how much flammable material is in an engine bay? Would there be that much fire for long enough for only somewhat dry grass to spread the fire as far as it went? I seriously doubt it.

Have you ever seen how much THICK and HARD plastic is under the hood? Yea pretty much everything that isnt metal. Go grab a used radiator hose and burn it. Itll produce a nice smoke show. The grass is burning in a circle which is what it will do with it cut so short.

Ive seen about 3 cars burn to the ground and they burn for a long good time.

Plus look at the passenger side bumper scoop on the second pic. Its already melted and falling to the ground. How hard is that to do?? Sorry but I doubt anybody would take the time to do a chop like this.

Calling this is a shop is funny.
