yeah i missed TECH by 50 points... my first time testing.

i didnt know i was testing this year though. so it messed me up preparing for it. i hope to make TECH next year though.

Only had 1 guy in my shop make rank. Had 3-4 people looking for MSgt but all missed and a pile of people that tested for Tech and only 1 made it. Congrats to anyone who posts here that made it

My shop is MSgt heavy now, the two guys that tested made it and only 1 of the 4-6 that tested for TSgt made it. 4 MSgt and 2 TSgt now, it's looking good for an IPCOT.

I made Tech finally! Line 3720 4th time testing 11 years TIS. I had to catch up to my wife that made it last year. She made it in 8 years Congrats to the Selectees! And Non-Select theres always next year! Your time will come.

4th time for tech and missed by 2.xx points... guess 5th time is a charm. Retrained into Air Traffic Control and our SKT is no fk'n joke. Woulda been Tech years ago if I was still a sheetmetal guy. Ahh, what can ya do. Who needs that $7K pay raise anyway.

Congrats to all the promotees! I will be testing for MSgt (1st time) when i get back from Iraq. Been in for 12yrs so i see this as my chance to "get ahead". I feel confident knowing what the cutoffs are before i test, I only have to score 65's!!

I'm a staff and drive a Vette. My wife put on Capt. last year so it's pretty much her car. I can't even afford the gas on my paycheck. lol

I missed Tech by .36. WTF....can't they just round up??? ha ha

Does she make you salute before going to bed....j/k If my wife was military and I had a similar situation she would constantly remind me that is was her car, and not let me live it down, she probably would barely let me drive it.

We only had like 4 promotes in the SQ.. Odd... FD got most of em.. This one guy that I SWORE made it, didn't... He wasn't too happy.. But we've already got like 6 techs in the shop anyway.... AND 7 Staff's... (3 airmen.) Odd rank grading..

I missed Tech by 6pnts. This was my 4th time testing. I missed it by 4 last year. Hopefully i make it next year, i really do. I studied my *** off and it seems like every year, there are more screwed up questions on the test. I dunno. Congrats to everyone who made it.

I didn't really study, so I expected not to make it. What DID frustrate me though, was once I found out what the cutoff was - I would have easily been in there for MSgt by over 13 points based on my score when I made Tech.

But doesnt things change when you test again? Like TIG? So you really cant go off of what you made as a tech. Well unless you been a tech for awhile I guess where you built TIG pts up.
