Default Help, need 160degree T-Stat for Turbo Build!

The 160degree that I bought from Autozone didnt fit. I bought the one with the tstat housing/neck and the tstat was too wide for the block.

I did see a Mr Gasket Tstat and it seemed to fit in the stock tstat neck, but on the packaging it said for 2004 and Newer LS1s?

Where did you guys pick up your tstat from?

Had the same problem when Jeg's sent me the first one. You need the 1012 I think it is with housing. Going to pay the piper to the tune of $50. Mine is a Hypertech and worked!

What settings did you go with? I haven't gotten my TB back to do a tune and set the fans. What temp do you see on the gauge?

No locals have it

I made that same mistake. Got just the thermostat from jegs because it was cheaper. Ended up giving it to my buddy with his 04 GTO because it didn't fit my car . You need the thermostat and neck-Got mine from hypertech, no problems. Changed in ten minutes.

And I did the install different than install university. I used good ole Vaseline on the o-ring to hold it in place. It will dissolve no problem

I had a full dyno tune and had the guy tune the fans at the same time, I think the fans turn on at 180-190. The stock temp gauge is a POS.it stays almost in the middle but I know the car runs cooler, I hope this helps

Packet said on at 166 and off at 175. Think I am going to give them those and have them set it up at that.
