Gear install checklist
First, I don't drag race and I don't use sticky tires. I'm not worried about the 10-bolt. The rearend has 90K miles.
I just want to make sure I have everything I need for the installer. This is what's going in:
- Torsen T2R high-bias differential (no clutches - no additive)
- GM 3.73's
- Ratech Master install kit (should I get the one with new wheel bearings & seals?)
- New reluctor wheel (teeth scarred)
- Summit 7.5" girdle cover
- 2 qts Redline 75W90
I have an regular problem with the pinion seal leaking. Should I consider replacing more than just the seal?
I'm leaning towards refreshing the whole thing. Anything else I should have them check while thery're in there? U-joints, axles, bearings, etc? Does Does a gasket or RTV-type sealant work better for the rearend cover?
TIA!
