I went down to In-tune this weekend in Charleston, TN and had the privilege of meeting Scott. I want to start off by saying that he is extremely careful to make sure everything is perfect before he tunes and making sure that it is flawless before he lets you leave. I had vacuum leaks that he jumped right in and fixed for me because he knew I wouldn't get an accurate tune other wise. He could have easily looked over them and shoved me out the door without me even knowing better.

I don't think I could have left untuned if I wanted to. He was also EXTREMELY educated on tunning cars. Not just f-bodies. Again, huge props for this guy. All his reputation was true.

My biggest concern for the day wasn't wot. I was looking for part throttle tuning and getting my car running right. Drive after drive he data logged and made adjustments. During this time, he realized that the maf was sending bad signals and ended up cleaning and descreening the maf and cleaning it for me. Again, this was still all included within the price.

After the hours of fine tuning the part throttle, he put in an anticipated tune and strapped it down to the dyno. Almost perfect the first time. The second run was the one we ended up going with after messing with the timing.

On to the only thing anyone is here to see, the numbers. Remember, this is on a MUSTANG Dyno that has been referred to as the "Heartbreaker." This dyno is rough even for a Mustang.

After all was said and done,
Mustang Dyno numbers
352.1 HP
341.7 TQ

For they DynoJet guys, he said his dyno is 14% lower than others, so that gives me,
converted DynoJet numbers
409.4 HP
397.3 TQ

The reason I needed the tune was because I just got a new cam installed that was custom designed by PatrickG. I asked him for a cam that would have good torque numbers and have a strong midrange. I'm not trying to have huge peak numbers and I wanted something the would primarily be fun on the streets and have good response autocrossing. Also still decently quick at the strip.

Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with the results. I think he designed a great cam. It shows that you can make decent power without going with a huge cam. This cam actually drives better than my old MTI T1 cam that was a 221 .558, and that cam drove great. I'm definitely happy with the results with my limited mods and even being through cats.

My old baby made good. :) Great choice on the new cam and setup. For a street car you can't beat that. That torque curve is just insane and so is the horsepower peak. Great results man.

Nice! Im gonna be giving Scott a visit here pretty soon. Everyone in the Knoxville and Chattanooga area raves about how good of a job he does. Nice tq curve numbers.

He really does take a huge interest in getting it right.

Are these typical results for the cam size that I'm using or a little low?

those curves are beautiful. i can easily that car running door to door with an ms3 car or something...flatass powercurve dumdumdum.

:lol

It has a very deceptive pull to it.

It was fine on the dyno, but my knock sensor wire got pinched between the block and the bellhousing during the last clutch install. It's caused my SES light to come on for a knock sensor code. Does that cause the car to pull timing or anything similar?

I don't see how you can think that the OP's curve is anything close to the curve of a MS3 car. On our Mustang Dyno, I've seen MS3 cars make over 410rwhp (M6). I just had a bolt on manual 99 F-body on the dyno this weekend make 340rwhp/347rwtq. I even had a bolt on 2002 auto F-body make 358rwhp at the begining of the month.

I came across this posts a while ago, and didn't post anything, because for the most part, I'm not into knocking people's set ups. I read this particular posts because it said it was on a Mustang Dyno, and since that's what we opperate, I was curious as to his results compaired to some of the stuff we see on ours.

As far as numbers go, I would say I would have expected more from the OP's set up. But every dyno is different, maybe mine reads high, maybe theirs reads low, who's to say. As long as the AFR is correct and the timing is correct, the numbers it lays down are what they are.

I don't see how you can think that the OP's curve is anything close to the curve of a MS3 car.i never said the curve was similar. i said i can see it running door to door, meaning if they engaged in a speed contest, the 2 cars would be very close. the ms3 dynos i have seen are very peaky, and this cam is not. i would believe the avg. hp between shifts to be about the same with these cams given the smaller cam's ability to hold power up top. just an opinion, i could be wrong, but i'd put it up against an apples to apples ms3 car in a heartbeat.

From my experiences you would only get 20-25 more hp on a dynojet, if that.

I know this post is kind of old, but now that I have read these numbers, I know where I am going for a cam in the next month, thats just awsome results!

Good results and that curve is awesome "power under the curve" Thats a very nice daily driver cam. I think on a dynojet it would be in the 375-390 range. And this with the stock tb and a LS6 intake. Time to step up to a ported Fast 92 and ported LS2 tb
