Default Coolant Temp Sensor/ Check engine

Now i did a search on this and some people have had this. I went to Autozone and they scanned it. The guy says the problem is the Coolant Temp Sensor. He said when i replace it, itsgoing to leak coolant and i should take it to a mechanic. Id like to learn for myself and fix my own problems. Can anyone here tell me how its done or direct me to a website that shows how its done. I really appreciate any help!

Thanks in Advance!!!

When you take it out it will leak coolant. But if hes saying it will leak after you put the new ones in...hes crazy. Just use pipe sealant and you'll be fine. Its simple to change, unplug it, unscrew, put the new one in and snug...plug back in.

Thanks guys. Seems simple enough. Just one more thing...i know its a big time newbie question but where is it located in the engine? is it the plug in the driver side head? Thanks once again!

It's the brass sensor on the drivers side head right by #1 cyl. What code is it throwing? Great service reading codes for free, but don't trust them when they say "It's the sensor." Maybe it's just the wiring/connector too, look at that first.

The coolant sensor is located at the passenger side of the radiator.

The low coolant sensor is below the radiator cap on the passenger side, thinking he's talking about the ECT sensor in the head since it threw a SES light/code.
