Default Rocker clearance???

Ok, installed PP S2 heads, didnt check for rocker clearance(they used larger 978's, didn't know it didnt work with stock ls1 parts...:\ ) What kind of issues am I looking at if they didn't clear right? What kind of sounds would I be hearing? Could I have dammaged them with out knowing?

Since the day the car started till today, nothing 'funky' sounding has been going on, would I even hear it? The only thing I hear is the normal sewing machine of the valvetrain.

Please advise.
thanks
-Steve

You'd hear it if they were hitting. You can pull your valvecovers off and see if the retainers are scratched/worn at all where the rocker would be hitting them. You can also try to find a valve that is totally shut and see if you can fit a feeler guage under the rocker arm between it and the retainer. You're probably fine as long as the shop used the right type of retainer.

My friend and I installed the heads, thanks to your install! =)
The heads were pre-assembled and sent to me, teryr said the retainer used is the flat type.
