What's the scene like down there guys? I'm at Pope right now, but think I'm gonna put in a BOP for Charleston. And with Pope closing, my BOP should be approved within a couple of weeks. I would just have to wait until I get back from the dirt. So what's it like? Any nearby tracks?

What is your AFSC? If you're flight line.....don't even think about it.


A few tracks near here but....they are all 1/8th. Closest 1/4 are 2-2 1/2 hours away. Darlington and Carolina dragways. Car scene is OK I guess. Lots of Fbods around. Lots of slow rice as well.

I'm a crew chief, so I would probably end up on the flightline. Either that, Iso, or A/R. I've done them all here on 130's. What's so bad about the flightline? Other than deployments.

Deployments are welcomed here. Management is the problem. E-7's trying to make E-8 and E-9's trying to make E-10.

If you end up here, make the best of it. I wouldn't try to get here though.
