228R with milled 5.3 2.5 PRC Heads will be a great setup for track and daily drive use.

I would recommend the 228r Buck. Even on the 114 LSA, it has a nice lope to it. I just finished mine last week, I'll take a clip of it soon.

I have the 228r and the 5.3 heads. I had TSP mill them to 59cc's and am running a .040 Cometic gasket. Its a nice combo. I like it better than the Torquer V3 that I was running before....not to bag on the T3 its a great cam, too.

Joseph installed the 228R cam & prc 5.3l heads on his brothers friends car with great results. The car made huge gains in 1/4 et & made a additional 80 or so rwhp! I'll see if he can post his experience with it.

I liked the 228R, I decided to get a custom grind in the end but the 5.3 stage 2,5s are nice heads for the money. I havent installed mine yet but they look great.

I didnt mill the heads though...instead im runing .045" cometics for an 11.2:1 static and 8.6:1 dynamic compression ratio...perfect for street use. I am shooting for mid-low 11s myself.

In researching the 228R I found alot of people with it and didnt hear one bad thing about it.

I have a 228R on a 114LSA with Patriot LS6 heads milled to 59cc. It sounds fantastic and pulls like a freight train. Totally streetable around town AND has a nice lope to it. I have no complaints. Here's a video...
