Default LS1 vs LT1

I recently purchased a 56 Chevy project. The previous owner told me that the chassis was set up for a LT1 with 4L60. Now he tells me that he ment it was set up for an LS1. Ive already purchased the LT1. Will i need to change the motor mounts? What other changes will need to make? Thanks for any help.

it depends on how setup it was for the LS1 motor. Motor mounts will have to change, but tube and plate can make anything you want.

Yeah, good luck with that project. Stuff like that is why I like nice bolt-on projects

It's relatively straight forward. It's just switching parts. But you need to give more info about how much is already done to the chassis to prepare for the LS1.
