Default Need M6 Part..

What I need is a 1993-1996 M6 Plastic Cover Plate/Shift Boot that goes on the Center Console around the Shifter. It has the little decal on it that has the shift pattern.

Anyone have one lyin around?

GM no longer carries them or even sells them, what I did when I had that console I used a thin piece of Aluminum and contoured it around to fit and even found out it works better that the cheap plastic bezal that came with the console.

It's going to be hard to find if you do want the factory piece though.

I might have to fab something up then.. I have some Aluminum Flashing here so it may not be too hard to do.

It would be nice to find one though..

I used a 5 speed center section. Search your local junk yards for one.

Yeah it's the same. It will just have the 5 speed shift pattern plate on it instead of 6.

I might try a different way to get one..
I got ahold of the Leather(whatever it is) Shifter Boot that goes in the Interior..when I get the chance I'm goin to the Junk Yard and getting another A4 Console Piece. I'm going to take that one apart and cut it all out in the Center to where it will measure up to the M6 piece. Then I will attach the Boot to that and put a piece of Aluminum in the open spot. I'll put the M6 Shift Pattern Decal on that if I can find one.
