Default Double Roller Oil Pump Clearance?

I'm just curious if anyone knows what the safe or relatively safe clearance level should be between the front of a double roller chain and an oil pump? I've done lots of searching and even called melling and have yet to find out an answer. Any help on this is appreciated.

thanks

I just used a dremel to allow for ample clearance, then I put some green tape on that same area, installed the pump again, rotated the crank with the old crank bolt and checked for clearance again. My chain didn't touch so there was no need for further grinding, but if yours does, just keep repeating and make sure you're careful.

ps: Make sure that your O-RING is seated properly!

I have .006" clearance right now so I will be taking off very little at a time. The green tape idea is a good one I will try that.
