Hello Everyone,

I'm looking into buying a used CTS V and have a few questions.

1) Any major issues to worry about?
2) What is the real world gas millage?
3) I'm assuming since this is an LS6, mods aren't a problem?

I currently have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS as my toy and I'm not 100% happy with it. I'm also thinking about the new camaro, but I'm at the point in my life where I might want to look a little more upscale.

Thank you in advance.

Rear end, motor mounts, clucking noise from the rear, nav unit buttons wearing off, etc.

I get 25 highway and usually avg 18 between city and highway

Mods aren't a problem but making the rear live is a big problem.

If you search there are literally 6536277683787394 threads with the same questions. Search and you'll find alot more info than what I said. Those are my experiences with the car and with my research those are pretty accurate answers.

LS6 is only in the 04 and 05 models. If you get a 06 or 07 it will have an LS2. As far as mods goes that doesnt really make a difference though, there's quite a bit of aftermarket stuff out there for both. The 06 and 07 have a better rearend. They still have issues, but if an older one needs a new rear they use the newer style to replace it.

The car is amazing. Any issues that you have will go away when you start driving the car again.

My recomendation would be to get one with extended warranty
