1 5/8" Header tubes on 5.3L for swap, Help!
Hey Everyone,
I did a search, didnt really come up with any helpful information.
Heres what im looking at,
For the thirdgen camaro, i can get 1 5/8" LT headers that are meant for a Gen 1. could buy flanges, modify them to fit the motor that way i have a good prices set of headers for my car.
How will the 5.3L Motor (with a Z06 cam) work with 1 5/8" LT headers? I know it wouldnt be as big of a gain as if i used 1 3/4", but i will eventually upgrade to the stainless works 1 3/4" when i start doing headwork, and go for a bigger motor.
For now its just a Z06 cammed 5.3L.
Thanks!

I'm sure they would work fine for a just a mild cam. Better than manifolds. Modifying headers to fit sucks. I tried it on mine, and just ended up buying the ones from stainless works. Well worth the money to save the headache.
