Default Z06 upgrade question

i had done the zo6 brake upgrade on my camaro about a month ago used the relocation brackets and all everything works great but at low pedal pressure i get a loud squeak like the sensors are going off had taken them off once and theres not a problem anywhere no scratches high spots or warps in sight. any insight to this problem would be appreciated

Sounds like it's just the metal in the pads.

Did you do the C5 Z06 brakes or C6? My C5 Z06 squeals when not using them very hard. The pads are closer to a racing than a street pad. Take it up to highway speeds, then very firmly slow to 25 mph a couple times. Obviously don't do this with other cars around. After you stop hard on them, they won't squeal again for awhile. It does come back unless you use them somewhat hard now and then. Or, change pads to the GM ceramics. Won't stop as well, but are quieter.

my truck did that after i installed some new pads/rotors, but its a normal thing. they are brakes after all. on my truck they would squeak from like 0-30mph, anywhere above that they were fine. nothing you can do about it. just tells you they are working.
