Default Wideband Install Question, Where to power

I just got a PLX wideband and where can I get power from that is going to work for the unit and only work with the ignition on. I think that it needs 3amps min or so . Also any good suggestions on where to have an additional bung welded on. I've got LT and ORY. Thanks for the help.

I just got my PLX also!

Put the bung on the header collector..

I was curious about where I'd get power also...For my nitrous kit I used the pink traction control wire. But I only use it to give power to a switch. I'd like the wideband setup would take more power than 3 amps? But I could be wrong.

So someone help me and Rancor!

I dumped my plx off in favor for a innovative unit. the PLX reads fine when doing WOT tuning but always reads around 1 AFR too lean the rest of the time. Regardless I got power from the fuse panel on the drivers door.. there is, or at least is on my car, there is an empty socket for a spade style connector labeled ign I think it is.

I have my wideband O2 bung on the pass side just after the collector. I didn't want to cut and weld on my LT's.

Was there already power to that empty spot and did you use a fuze in there. If so what size?

Jetlag-
Yeah the wires are insanely little, where are you going to put your gage?

I looked at my fuse box and there is indeed an open spot that says "IGN" You can go to autozone and get fuse tap thing...a 5a should be enough.

But I just used my traction control power wire and it's doing fine.

I drilled a small hole on the bottom part of the bezel thing that goes around the gauges.. and put the wires through then used some velcro to keep the guage there..looks good..I'll get pics later.
