Re: ls6 heads vs ls1 heads
for those cams the 5.3L or LS1 heads are fine. The LS6 heads arent really worth the money on stock Cube engines. The p&pLS6 heads take off over p&pLs1 heads around .570" - .600"+ lift.
you may see 10rwhp more with LS6 heads over LS1 with those cams

From what I ve read LS6 heads flow better out of the box.For what youd pay for new LS6 heads you could get your heads ported and get more from them with the cam.

Re: ls6 heads vs ls1 heads
ported ls6 heads flow around 320-330
ported ls1 or 5.3's flow around 300-310
possible 10hp right there but u have to decide if you wanna spend the extra grand...i wouldn't and all i do is drag race my car.

you have to see if your porter gets more flow at mid lift from its LS6 heads without reducing port velocity. heads with extra flow at .550 or .600 don't do much given almost no hydraulic cams go over .600 lift and very few hydraulic cams spend much time at .550 or above.
If you go solid roller, there could be good gains on the flow above .550 with LS6 heads.
