wrangler, land rover, range rover, H1 etc. all would have ended up stuck in that hole.

true. but that is not a hummer its a yukon. the only hummers are the h1s but im sure a unimog would go right tru there. put a snorkal on a 404 unimog and u will drown be4 it turns off.

Too bad he didn't hydrolock the engine.

I doubt some one who knows how to drive an h1 off road would get stuck. I was at a hummer homecoming in 02(pretty sure that was when it was) and they do some pretty crazy stuff with them.

Only thing that video proves is what a numb nuts that guy is!

I wouldn't be suprised if most all off-roading vehicles got stuck. Even the Hummer can't ford waters over a certain amount deep.

I agree with the other guys...a real Hummer is an H1! :chug:

h1 are the real bad ass classics... but the h2 and h3 do pretty good for off roading. i had a 90-91 broncos. so not all a fan of the h2 n h3 for off roading. haha. broncos all the way! but heres some bad ass mud vids

this one is my old 1990 302 bronco

^thats some good mud boggin'. That douche in the hm2-3 was retarded for even trying to drive through that deep of water. I have driven a true Humvee through the thickest muck imaginable and with a full combat load and 300 pound armor plated doors, and still i wouldn't try driving through that. maybe if i had an old 85 Silverado on 40's i'de giver it a shot

thanks... i wish i took a vid of the time i went through with my old black 91. it had a 351 so alot more powerful then the one in the vid. but they are def tough trucks. made like tanks!

I'm sure a bunch of Wrangler's could get through there. I work for a Jeep Aftermarket Parts company, trust me I know.

Here's a near stock CJ running through deep as anything water:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPVXjOSecGY

His main issue is the stock BFG A/T's. When he hit the water they turned to slicks in the muck at the bottom and afforded him absolutely no traction. I don't know enough about H2's, but front/rear lockers would've helped like a mofo too... I've been through stuff deeper than that and made it all.. also been through deeper stuff and been stuck (broken 4WD due to vacuum disconnect 2 piece pass side axle shaft not engaging!!):

Ya Jeeps rock :) I work for Quadratec.

And they STILL cost half the price of an H2, if not more than half the price. I don't like Rubicon's personally (Real Jeeps are built, not bought) but if you took a stock Rubicon against a stock H2, the Rubicon would completely crush it.

Just look at some of the videos on you tube of the h1 off road its crazy. But just like anything else you have to know how to drive it to make it work right. This one guy i met had a 502 in his for being 8-10k lbs this thing was fast.

How many vehicles you see do this stock?

lol that guy driving that hummer has nooo clue how to drive that thing. Besides, I think most any vehicle would get stuck in that mud pit he drove into anyway.

you honestly compare an H2 to a yukon? does a Yukon come factory with 4.10's and 10" minimum ground clearance among the other major differences? it may be a Yukon frame but thats pretty much where it ends.

Yea ive been through pits bigger than that with my Wrangler and cherokee... And to say a jeep cant get through that is stupid.. But im sure if he knew what he was doing and with the right equipment that h2 could have creeped right through. Also it appears that kid is a dumb shit

Couldn't agree more, lack of common sense with an over-priced heap of iron. To clarify this isn't a mud pit, deep water fording, all-terrains didn't help this guy when he slicked out the treads, plenty of built H2s could make this. My 07 Rubicon would do this like cake.

I hate H2's honestly and H3's even more. I've been with them on the trails and they really have basic off-road capability. H1's are great off-road vehicles, HMMWV's are even better (That's the Humvee for those who don't know).

I wasn't saying a built Jeep could take a stock H2, 'cause that's obvious. I was saying a stock 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (2 or 4 door) versus a stock 2008 Hummer H2. The Rubicon comes with front/rear air lockers, electronic sway bar disconnect, Dana 44 front/rear axles, BFG Mud Terrain Tires, etc. all stock. The H2 gets those crappy A/T's stock. The price tag on the Rubicon is $25,000-$32,000, and the price tag on the H2 is $35,000 to $40,000.

The thing about the H1's too is that they are tanks. I bet the jeeps can't do this. http://www.lynchhummer.com/Humvwall.html

That driver was just an idiot.

As far as getting stuck though, no matter what you drive/build, eventually you'll get it stuck. They haven't yet built an unstuckable vehicle.

It would suprise ya'll how much a good set of mud tires woulda helped that guy out. I made it down a mud road after a HARD rain with a 1998 s-10 ZR2 with water standing that was a little more than halfway up the tires. I had to go through 1mile of that stuff, and it was a mud road too. A lot of it is throttle control and driver as well.

My 1996 K1500 Z-71 slid into a irrigation ditch while I was mudding, and it was a long, hard drive out of there, but I made it, I ran up the side of it and up to my passenger mirror was in muddy water for a short ammount of time. Once again, had mud tires and good throttle control. It was about 1/4mile pull at about 4000 on the tach and 1st gear. No overheating issues or anything, just took a LONG time to get cleaned.

Oh, and both of these vehicles were stock ride height. The ZR2 had 33" tires and the z-71 has 265's

i thought h2's had pushbutton lockers from the factory? any who they do have 35" tires on them but allterrains won't help him there. if he had a set of boggers or at least a regular mud terrain it prolly would have done it.

They do...

Looks like there was shitload of muck/silt in the middle of that pond. Letting off the throttle didn't help either.

Anyone that I've heard say an H2 is just a Yukon, has been an Yukon owner.

Drive an H2 and then a Yukon, not even in same category.

Offroading requires 30% vehicle, 70% brains.
