Default Mail Order Tune??

What is this exactly?? And how's it done??

Ive seen this avialable at Vengeance Racing but idk what it exactly is or what's needed to be done. Like do i send something in to them?? or what?? I wanna get a tune after i get some Longtubes installed. Just wanna know how this is done. And are these worth it??

You send them your PCM and they reprogram it for you. Some companies will send you one first, then refund a core charge when you return your original PCM to them.

If all you're doing is some longtubes just toss some o2 sims on it and drive it......

Tunes change rev limits, kill / change limiters, fine taylor the vehicle to how YOU want it to be, make more power, the list goes on and on.. . Even on stock cars they are needed.

Without datalogging and actually being "hands on" the car the only things I could tune without guessing are limiters, codes and such. Of course some people are better at that game than I am.......so I hope ya don't take that statement as a personal attack Jesse. Maybe I should have reworded it to say that if your goal is only to get rid of the SES light to just install sims. Of course I did not go that route (never have been able to listen to my own advice) and went directly to purchasing a tuning solution.
