Default Bosch 13111 02 sensors

When installing my headers I had to extend the wires to my front OEM o2 sensors. Now and again I get a check engine light for the front left 02. I wonder if its the actual 02 which failed or the wiring. To eliminate the SES codes I am getting I want to replace the front 02 sensors with bosch 13111 sensors which have the longer wire so no extender is needed. Arent the bosch 13111 sensors the rear sensors on corvettes, will they work as front sensors for a camaro? Has anyone done this?

Yes they are the rear vette sensors. They work fine, and have more than enough wire for long tubes. I actually had to bundle up some of the wire and zip tie it out of the way.

A lot of guys run them. Some love 'em, some claim they failed solve their O2 code issues. Oftentimes the O2 codes are not because of a problem with the sensor, but with the sensor position on the longtubes. They just don't get hot enough. 13111's supposedly have a better heater to overcome the issue, but it doesn't fix the problem for a lot of guys.

I just installed the 111's on the front of my 01 SS and had no issue other than having to retap the threads but zip tied the slack until I get my lt's.

Look at what I put in bold. Why take a chance with ruining a perfectly good o2, possibly for the second time? Just zip tie them out of the way.

i hear what your saying, when i said "wiring" I was referring to the 02 extenders which obvioulsy lengthened the wires, I was mearly talking about triming one down using butt connectors. But if you say there is enough room to zip tie it up under or around the starter without it beeing too messy or chance of burning off on anything then i will simply do that, I havent gotten a chance to put it on the lift yet so I wont know until i do but it seems that zip tie will be an option. Thanx
