Fueling & Injection - How long does gas stay good for?

I tried a search but didn't come up with much.

My car is not my daily driver so this is new to me. Its been sitting for 2-3 months and has not been driven.

In August or September I plan to install my H/C/I and get it tuned. Could the gas in my tank be bad by then and should I put new gas in? It has about a half a tank in it still.

Hi, Depending where you live. Re-formualted gas is good for around 6 months. Smell it. Smells like turpintine. It went bad on you. Dave

pretty sure theres stuff you can add before it sits, im not sure how long before theres a problem

I go through this all the time with boat owners, and both Mercury/Mercruiser, and Evinrude are in agrement. Without stabil it is only good for 2 weeks, longer if stored in an airtight steel container. Av gas and race gas last much longer (none of the additives that pump gas has)
Before the tune you should use up or drain what you have and fill it with fresh
