GM Hot Cam + 1.85 Rocker Arms? Will it work?
Will a GM Hot Cam and SLP 1.85 Rocker Arms work together? I was told by SLP that the two could not be used together. I made a post over at LS1.com and somebody brought up the fact that a longer rocker arm could not be used with a fast ramp rate cam. Does the GM Hot Cam have a fast ramp rate? I'd appreciate any input.

Compared to some of the other offerings, not really. Just curious as to why you'd want to do this? Why not save the loot on the rockers and get a regular or custom grind cam for that lift? If you want rollers, look at the stock ratio Yella Terra's. You can use stock pushrod length, use the HotCam and get the benefits of RR's all at once!

Sounds like a good idea to me. The original lift was .525 with a 1.7 so now you'll be at .571. Check your springs. Maybe put in some 918's.

Will it work? Yes. But unless you're buying all the components used and getting them dirt cheap, like others said why bother??? Just get a custom cam made with the lift you want.
I did the Crane 1.8s and the hotcam, but only paid $480 for everything, including the Crane pushrods ...
