i remember taking a pre engineering course in 1997 and reading a popular mechanics that belonged to our teacher that showcased a car that gm had built that was getting 100 mpg. Have not heard or seen anything about it since. I have also seen my share of 500-800 horsepower cars getting outrageous mpg. What i dont understand is why we (our automotive industry) still build 300 hp cars that struggle to get 20mpg.

Multi-billion dollar lobbyists are more than willing to buy off and destroy such patents.

It'd completely change the type of money the oil companies are bringing in, and they refuse such scenarios.

Completly possible sure, but with E85 highly unlikely. Since E85 is about a .33 as efficent as traditional gas. E85 is a lost cause which doesn't make since to furture develop. Hydrogen power is in my opinion a better alternative. It is twice as efficent as gasoline, abundant, and its emissions consist of water.

To be honest I really do not believe in the whole government conspiracy theory that we could already be driving cars and trucks that get 100mpg.

Lets cut the guy some slack, he probably just failed to mention that these numbers must have made on a 300 shot of n2o

I'd like to see a video of this thing at the track. It does sound a little tame to be making such numbers, but who knows?

I think getting that kind of mileage is possible, but making the idea a useful reality will be interesting to see.

lol....yeah. Somehow, I doubt it. Seriously, if it were possible, even if they could do half that on an SUV, the SUV sales wouldn't be a problem again.

I call

Agreed but the GOV wants to dump our corn and more of it into the process. Makes not fuKINIG sense. The problem with HYDO is that it takes a lot of energy to make it.

I just read this guys Patents and he invented some F*ing brace that goes on the Short block thats supposed decrease parasitic loss that naturally comes from friction by the piston traveling along the cylinder walls. And by doing this the engine becomes more efficient and burns less gas for the same or more amount of power. I think he said somewhere his engine operates at 38% capacity and normal engines operate at 8-10% capacity. (im not sure how accurate that statement is btw)

I just googled his name and started reading. Theres alot of controversy about this guy. I mean if I think about it, it makes sense to an extent, but for the power gains and MPG hes talking about, I would definatly have to see it to believe it.

Here the link to his patent with pics. Click on full text to see the novel of text on this thing. Oh yeah grab a snack while your at it, I had some sour skittles........
