I've read this complaint a few times. I don't believe that anyone couldn't get it on through. The key is to loosen all of the bolts, get all of the threads started, and then start torquing it all back down; simular to a wheel, you don't fully tighten just one lug nut at a time. One guy actually posted a picture and it wasn't even close, it looked impossible. It was very off, maybe a half inch or more. But he loosened everything and retorqued as was recommended and reported back that it was all fine with no leaks so....

Is this for the real ptk kit or the knockoff?

I may try it one more time when i get back, but it was REALLY off.

I am using a Tial 38mm wastegate. All it came with was gaskets and bolts. Do I need a thick spacer/flange?

my ebay kit had 2 extra flanges in the wastegate box, if you need a half inch spacer im sure one of those would work just fine... did your kit come with the china WG??

from what im gathering there is a 1/2" gap between the flange on the wastegate and the flange on the pipe. the pipe that bolts up to the WG outlet wont reach the WG..

now i could be wrong, this is just how Im imagining in my head

I understand the same... But is it because the WG is "Chinese"? Would another WG bolt up, or are the flanges on the pipe off instead, meaning any WG would be a problem? That's what I was trying to ask.

I'd loosen it all up and try it that way, if that fails. Weld the DP shut and vent it to atmosphere. I run my manifold set up vented and I like the WOOOOSSSSSH I get when I get into boost.

Do you think the woooooosh gets annoying?

Or do you only hear it when you go into boost?
