I just installed a Thunder Racing (TA) diff cover this weekend and noticed it doesn't have the magnet inside like the stock had. The stock cover had some metal shavings on it which I expected after researching.
Does the TA cover have this built-in somewhere that I'm not aware of? It seems important =P

My JEG'S cover didn't either. Plus it's aluminum so it won't stick ;)
I believe the intent of the drain and fill plugs is that you will maintain it more offen that OEM recommendation thus negating the need for the magnet.

or you could use a magnetic drain plug.
