I do have ported heads. Why would that make a difference?

When heads are ported, the rocker arm bolts will protrude down into the intake ports, meaning its a passage oil could seep through and get into your combustion chamber. The locktite on the bolt will sorta act as a sealer for it.
I use whatever is in the red tube, the loctite fluid itself is blue.

lol there are many many different kinds of loc-tite in red containers. Some of the fludis are red and some are blue.
