Fin & Plate type.
In Front Of Condensor & in unison with Factory Radiator cooling.
AN fittings and no more than 8"tall and you're good between 11"-15" wide.
Racing much? Then look for the better cooling provided by the greater width.
DD and just want insurance for your trans? Then the smaller width is fine.
Don't forget you want air to get to it, around it, and flow over it for your radiator.
Your Factory lower spoiler just ahead of the rad will help take care of that. :secret2:

Mine is also in front of my condenser. I took out the stock cooling though through the radiator and only run the external cooler. With a Yank SS3600 torque converter in stop and go traffic in 100+ degree weather so far this summer I have not seen my tranny temps go past 172. Thats with the guage sender in the pressure port in the side of the transmission which is notorious for making the guage read hotter than the tranny fluid really is.

Here is where I mounted mine.. I have no AC and welded up some brackets to mount the cooler.

I also rewired the fans. Fan 1 is now the drivers side fan on its own relay, Fan 2 is now the pass side fan and I wired a manual fan switch to the Passenger fan to turn it on to keep the trans cool. I also changed the tune tune so both fan 1 and 2 turn on and off at the same time. basically no more low and high fans. Just fans on or fans off..

Heres mine, bolted to the radiator core support. Cooler only-M6 radiator. Highest I've seen was 165*
Low fan is set to turn off late so it keep air moving through it.
The cooler is 1/2" from the condenser.

The space between the condenser seems like a good idea. What did you use for spacing?

Nothing, I just bolted the cooler flange to the rad core support with #14 self tapping screws, bent the flange out for the gap. The zip ties hold it off the cond, but they probably aren't necessary.
