Problem with bronze pads on 5/6 and reverse
Hi guys,
I am rebuilding my t-56 and I am putting a full set of bronze pads on the forks and I seem to have a small problem.
For 5/6 and reverse the forks don't glide on the slider easily after putting on the bronze pads. They do go on and I can pull them off, but I have to use some force. Is that normal? I have seated them all the way.
When I use the teflon pads that come with the basic rebuild kit, they slide on and off easily. Also, the 1/2 and 3/4 pads (the larger ones) glide on the sliders easy.
I was thinking I should use some 400 sand paper and polish the pads a bit and hopefully they will glide on easy.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
Thanks

5/6 - reverse bronze pads not fitting right
Polished the bronze pads using some 220/320/400 grit and some elbow grease and they now slide on easy ... it did take a while, along with some
