Default Before I order; Nitto NT555 285/40-17

I am in desperate need of a new pair of street tires for the back of my car (17 x 9.5" rims). I want some that will last me a decent while as it is my DD, I want them to be cheap but get good dry traction for the occasional street race. I see only good reviews for this tire on www.tires.com so I figured I'd see what you all think. I may run these at the track a few times but eventually I will get some good DRs for that so mainly I need a good set of street tires. Are these a good bang-for-the-buck?

Lots of people run them, and I hear very few complaints. I've got Nitto Invos on my car and I love them, but they're not available in 285/40/17, so that probably wouldn't work for you.

i got those same tires in 275s and 315s and have no complaints. my car is a DD and traction/long lasting was a concern and thats why i went with them
