could you take my 2003 truck harness and mate it with a ls1 emc and mod the harness 
this DWB thing is driving me nuts !! plus it seem to me that their are alot of us in the same boat ( using truck engines in our conversions ) so i was wondering if we have a emc GURU at LS! ?

I don't know what an EMC is, but the ECM (Engine Control Module) might get you further along...
What is it you are trying to figure out? If you are changing from DBW to Cable on a 99-05 truck engine (4.8, 5.3, or 6.0) Your best choice is to go with a computer from a 99-02 engine, and have it programmed for the cable setup. Then you just need a harness for the same type of application.
Sometimes when things get too confusing, they might just be best left to companies that do this stuff on a regular basis.
