Default Bad sound from Rear suspension after upgrades!

Ok Well I recently installed all of my suspension parts on my firebird. I installed:

UMI Pan hard bar
UMI Upper Pan hard bar
UMI LCA
Strano lowering springs

Basically when I go over speed bumps or hit ruts in the road it makes a pretty loud knocking/banging sound. No noise on smooth roads or around bends. ONLY bumps of any kind

Im wondering if its my stock struts. I still have the decarbons with 95,000 miles on them. Its like they arnt stiff at all and there is no dampening of the shocks so it bottoms out or somthing. IDK any ideas

Yep, that's them, mine are gone too. Are your PHB and LCAs single or double rod end versions? If so, you could me getting some noise from them. I have singles right now and it they're not too bad, at least compared to doubles, those were annoying!

Since you're lowered you probably should pickup an adjustable PHB so you can center the rear end. Otherwise your tires might rub.

It is most likely the shocks. Granted, until last weekend I had DeCarbons with an Eibach pro-kit at 84k and it wasn't doing that, but I can't think of what else would cause your issue. If you had LCAs with rod ends, I would say that you may have bolts that are slightly too small. Not likely the case with poly bushings but it would probably still be a good idea to check for play in the LCAs.

depends on if you are ever going get a new rear (9in, 12bolt) i hear you really have to fix those up when you put them in.

Not from any performance standpoint. Double adjustable just means you don't have to take it off the car to adjust it which is, in my opinion, a very nice perk.

Make sure everything is torqued correctly. I had a bolt on one of my LCA's that wasn't quite tight enough and it made me think the whole rearend was coming unglued.

I would check (in order):
Lug nuts
LCA bolts
PHB bolts
Shock bolts
Spring isolators (make sure the spring is properly seated and not doing the metal on metal dance)

yeah, I spent most of yesterday tracking down my clunk....PHB jam nuts were loose, along with the mount on the dr. side lower shock point. Sounded like the whole car was going to fall apart!
