Default 6.0L into 67 Firebird

I have a chance to buy eather a 2005 or a 2007 6.0L for $700.00 or $900.00 respectivly with similar mileage.
I want to convert the engine to use an Edelbrock intake and carb. Is one engine better than the other? Better heads etc? Will the exhaust manifolds from the truck work?
Sorry for the questions but I am new to this and a little intimidated buy this engine swap.

I would ask weather or not they are an LQ4 or LQ9. They are very similar but their are a copy differnces. If you do a search here you can probably find out the details. You can probably find out what motor came in what vehicle as well.

Boath engines seam to be LQ4s. Are there any differences in the exhaust manifolds or anything I should know that would make one a better candidate for a retrofit int my old Bird?

Either unit would be a great choice...
