HELP!!! LS1 69 chevelle swap
I have a 69 chevelle that i have put a ls1 out of a 98 camaro and it is complete. I just finished the swap, but when i start it up it will only run for about 5,6, or 7 seconds and then dies, as if i turn the ignition off. it is not dieing rough or anything and it will start right back up. some times it wont start but after i leave the car for about 45 seconds and try it will run for the 5,6, or 7 senonds again. I have no idea what it could be and need any suggestions. thanks for the help.

As Pat stated.. did you have the PCM Flashed to delete the VATs as well as anything else not used. EGR, AIR, 2nd O2 ?...
Check your fuel pressure to make sure your getting continued Pressure and it is not cutting off? How is the Oil Pressure ?
Check for Vacuum leaks ?
but 1st things 1st. VATS !?

i did have the computer flashed but i am starting to doubt the guy who i had do it. he said he did all that i needed done to have it run but it does look like an anti theft thing to me. so if i am understanding you guys the vat will allow it to run and then kill it like that or would it not allow it to run at all. are there any sensors that would make it do this to, like the cam or crank?
but i will be at the shop on monday to have the guy go over the computer again if i am not able to get it to run tommorrow. thanks for the suggestions guys, this is turning into a nightmare.

VATS needs to be disabled. With vats, you can hit the key and motor will start right up. It will run great for anywhere from 4-7 seconds and then it will just instantly die. You need to have it disabled in the ECM. it can be done with tuning software like EFIlive or HTPuners as thats how i disabled mine.
