Drag Racing Results - car ran good at local stock suspension race

I ran in a local stock suspension race the other night and the car was ON all night!!!!

it was a 16 car field with 14 mustangs, 1 dodge dart and my camaro :)

here are the times

1st race: me 5.73 other guy 5.80
2nd race: me 5.74 other guy 5.81
3rd race: me 5.74 other guy 5.96
4th race: me 5.74 other guy 5.78
finals :me 5.68 other guy 5.61

I ended up runner up and we split the money! I treed everyone I raced except for the last one.. My best light of the night was a .405! worst was a 4.58 on my last one....

overall I am very pleased with the car and the new progressive controller I got from NitroDave's....

thanks everyone.. yeah the racing that night was awesome to watch!!!!!! My combo is a 406 sbc, 13:1, afr's, solid roller, 2 kits......

Right now I am trying to get a better suspension under the car. So if anyone is looking to sponsor a car let me know :) The car should be in the mid 1.20 60ft's, but im still in the low 1.30s right now....

naaa.... I have always been into grudge racing or heads up stuff.. just have a car with a good setup. but I get asked alot to do some bracket racing :) even had a big time bracket racer offer me money so he could race my car!! I told him nobody drives my car except me :)

yup, put some short track gears in...gonna see if i can beat hatfield (green fox body mustang with black hood, he was down there too lol) could be fun. I might hit silver dollar just to try 1/8 th mile times, but I might wait untill it cools down a bit during the day lol

I have heard he doesnt drive it all the time, and i dont know if he has a nickname.
Ironically, Bill was argueing with the guys that had me DQ'ed at the friday night drags, I have w tires which arent legal in the class, but my non w tires are showing cords..alot of em lol those whiners wouldnt even let me finish the night or anything, Its not my fault they spent too much money on junk, the biggest complainer in the bunch has a 67 or 68 camaro with a big block and lots of spray, but he gets beat all the time, oh well, looks like its time to make a point......I have a line on some 28x9 tires, I might run them and see if it hooks, if it does i am going to get a sticker for the back window, NO WHINING, and under that 28x9 with a pic of hand throwing the bird

whatsize tire do you normaly run??? I run 28x10.5 non w and inthe past I have run some 29.5x10.5 non w. I also have a setof 29.5 x10.5 s the stiff sidewall version which worked great! they only have 6 passes on them. I need to get rid of them... I only want 125.00 for them..

where , and what are the rules for the friday night drags you are referring to?

I have been playing at atlanta motor speedway, 2 hours to get to silver dollar on friday nights is too far, and its too warm to be fun during the day. The rules say 28 10.5 15 non w tire is the max lol. I havent adjusted the wheel well to fit a 29.5 anyway, i saw that the 28's were rubbing with the lower control arms that were in there, i changed them to adjustable ones to move the wheel back a fuzz, but the best part is worse case scenario, i have fresh tires and the old ones would take more that i was hitting them with off the line ( I guess the wheelie did me in, and to think I havent stood it on the bumper there)
