Going from 280-345hp is a good gain with stock manifolds. Remember its an Eddy Current dyno, not an inertia dyno, so the numbers will be lower.

not that low even with manifolds. He needs to find the problem. Look at his other thread he only turned 106 at the track he is barely making 345 at the wheels.

Retest the car on a DynoJet, it will be much easier to compare in a meaningful way to have other cars did with with heads and cam.

Thats what I said but he wanted me to send him money to have it done, I dont understand, I can understand he dynoed before mods but I dont see any correction factors on there. It is impossible to see what you gained if it is actual power, a car can be up or down 20 hp from morning to afternoon.
After all the mods are done he should have it dynoed on a dyno jet so we can compare full bolt on to another using a dynojet

Steve,
I believe your fine. You just need some time to finish the mods. You will see some good gains when you get the exhaust and intake on the car.

I know, these guys just like to dog products.

As for a dynojet, there isn't one around here, at least for 100miles that I know of, and there is no way i am paying $ and driving all that way to prove something to a few people who cant do some math to figure out what it is on a dynojet

FYI - Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn Heights has a Dynojet. MotownMuscle just had a Dynoday there on Saturday.

It's just that I keep seeing your threads like this one regarding your Mustang dyno numbers. I'm not asking you to prove a thing, if your happy with the set up cool. I don't think you'll get an apples to apples comparison with the rest of the cars on here - Mustang to DynoJet. If it's not worth retesting then it's not worth worrying about so accept the Mustang numbers and enjoy the new found power.

You will see a huge gain from Longtubes and free flowing exhaust.I would say 30-50rwhp.

I agree.. I gained 32rwhp with my headers and offroad pipe on a STOCK cam. Slap some long tubes on there and get a LS6 intake, you'll lay some real numbers down then.

I think those numbers are pretty good considering you don't have headers. From what I have found, a Mustang runs from 10% to 15% lower then a Dyno Jet. At 10% the Dyno Jet numbers would be 379. At 15% they would be 397 RWHP. Throw in 30 or more hp for headers and those look pretty good. I just had my car tuned on a Mustang and it made 387 but that was with headers and LS6 intake. A friend of mine made 364 with a 218 cam and MMS heads with a 9:7 CR. He is running a pulley, Jet Hot headers witht out cats and no muffler.

I think you have 40-50RWHP with headers, catback, LS6 intake and ported throttle body You are doing fine and I would much rather get tuned on a Mustang dyno as they simulate ACTUAL load
Cheers,
Chris
